TEHRAN – Iranian police have arrested a person and seized several Sassanid-era relics after he attempted to sale the antiquities in an on-line advertisement.
The person was illegally keeping the objects in his residence in the city of Dashtestan, southwestern province of Bushehr, CHTN reported on Sunday.
The detainee is now under judicial investigation, the report said.
In the time of Sasanians (224–651), Iranian art experienced a general renaissance. Architecture often took grandiose proportions, such as the palaces at Ctesiphon, Firuzabad and Saravan.
